Google Calendar on the Web

The easiest way to access your UNCC Google Calendars without any setup is at gcal.uncc.edu

Optional Google App shortcuts for Windows

We want to stress that this is optional. They is not required. The IT Team came across this as a way to make life a little easier but it does require setup. This option is only for those who would like a shortcut to Google Calendar or Gmail that runs more like a desktop client.

Google Calendar for Apple OSX

Sadly until email and calendar are converted to Google, OSX users must use the web link gcal.uncc.edu. Once everything is migrated Calendar should work with the built in native applications with OSX.

Google Calendar for Mobile Devices(Phones, Tablets, iPads)

The Google Calendar App must be used during the short period while Google email is unavailable. Because Gmail is not available your UNCC google account will not authenticate with the native calendar application on mobile and tablet devices. You will need to go to your appstore on the device and download the google calendar application.  (On any google / non uncc login page you see use your username@uncc.edu for the user ID, on the uncc login pages use just your username) 
 
Once you have the Google calendar application installed, logged in, and working.  You will need to go to accounts or mail in your settings, find the UNCC Exchange account and open its settings, and uncheck calendar. This will keep you from getting double notifications on the device. 
 
Once Google email is enabled in June or July you will be able to add a google account in your native accounts or mail settings. At that point you will no longer need the Google Calendar application.
