You are invited to participate in a research study on Leadership during Covid-19. The current study is part of an ongoing research program led by Dr. Janaki Gooty (bio<\/a>), Dr. George Banks (bio<\/a>) and Dr. Scott Tonidandel (bio<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some reasons to enroll\nin the Leadership during COVID-19 Study:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. You will contribute to scientific research on understanding the nature of leadership during the COVID-19 crisis.<\/li>
  2. The technique we are using for this research involves writing about a significant event in your work week \u2013 similar to journaling. Such writing has been shown to be a stress reliever and could be therapeutic for some individuals.1<\/sup><\/li>
  3. You will be invited to participate in a 30-minute, virtual leadership training session led by Drs. Gooty and Banks as a thank you for your participation. The research team will also present summary statistics on what we learn from this study, that could, in turn, be beneficial in your workplace.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Who can participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You qualify for this\nstudy if you are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. An adult over the age of 18<\/li>
    2. Employed full time (at a minimum of 35 hours per week)<\/li>
    3. Are in a supervisory, management, or leadership role<\/li>
    4. And are willing to participate in this study for 5 minutes a week for 8 weeks via your computer or handheld device (or any device of your choosing).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      What are the participation\nrequirements?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Respond to a brief 5 minute survey every Friday for eight weeks.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Where will the study take\nplace? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      All study materials will be\ngathered online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What types of information will\nbe collected? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You will be asked to provide\nyour name and email, which will only be used to a) send surveys to you and\nb) match your surveys across the eight-week time period. All identifying\ninformation regarding your participation will be kept confidential to the\nfullest extent possible and is available only to the research team.\nYou are free to withdraw your consent and to discontinue participation at any\ntime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
