Dr. McGregor joined the faculty of the Belk College in 1991. He received his BA in economics in 1982 and his MA in economics in 1984, both from Clemson University. After three years as a lecturer in economics at UNC Charlotte, Dr. McGregor returned to graduate school; in 1991, he received his PhD in economics from the University of South Carolina. His principal research interests center on the monetary policy decision process of the Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). Dr. McGregor teaches courses in macroeconomics, monetary and financial theory, econometrics, and forecasting. He currently serves as coordinator of the MS in Economics program.
